Retrieving Client’s Environment Data

The Client data section provides you with the client’s environment data. You see this section in the chat area every time you open a new thread. However, with the /client command, you can retrieve it at any time.

To retrieve a client’s environment information:

  1. In a thread with the required client, enter /client in the message input field. Alternatively, click the Use command  button and select сlient.
  2. Send the command as a usual message. The chat area fills in with the client data.

The client environment data includes:

  • For any channel: the thread ID and how long the thread has been active (this period can be highlighted in red if it has exceeded the period defined by your admin).
  • If a client messages via a webchat: a URL link to the webchat page from which the client sent the message, IP address, location (if this setting is enabled), browser version, OS, the app’s name (if several channels of the same type are connected to the system).
  • If a client messages via a mobile app chat: the client’s device OS, the app’s version, the app’s name (if several channels of the same type are connected to the system).
  • If a client messages via an email: the recipient’s email address (the email address to which the client wrote)
  • If a client messages via a messenger or social media: the app’s name (if several channels of the same type are connected to the system)
