If you want to take a break, go to a meeting or training, etc., you need to use one of the Inactive statuses. While you are inactive, the system doesn’t assign any threads to you. However, you need to finish processing your current threads before going inactive, because the system will not mark you as inactive if:
- You have an active thread (a thread that is open in the chat area)
- You have threads that are pending an agent’s response
If you try to go inactive in one of these two cases, you get a warning and the system moves you to the Active (finishing work) status that has the same visual representation as the Active status does (a green circle):
The reasons for the inactive status specified in the screenshot above are the default ones. There might be other reasons available if your system admin has added them.
