In this step, you specify the content that the system will send to your clients in the broadcast. You need to select the cascade and the templates used for each step of the cascade.
- In the Broadcasts > Edit broadcast > Broadcast content section, select the cascade that you want to use for this broadcast. If necessary, review the cascade rules to make sure this is the cascade you want. Daily channel limit information may be available for WhatsApp channels. Learn more about the WhatsApp channel information.
- In the Message contents by channel section, set up the message the clients will receive in each of the steps of the cascade. You can either enter the message text manually or use one of the templates you created before.
- For WhatsApp: You can only send messages based on custom templates (HSM), so select one from the Template drop-down. You must have at least one custom template based on a registered operator one to be able to send broadcasts via WhatsApp. If you select a template with a dynamic link button, specify the dynamic part of the link in this step. If you set the template to have an image or a video in it, in this step you also need to upload the actual image/video that will be sent in the message.
You can review how the resulting message looks in the message preview box on the right. - For Viber: You can both set up to send messages based on custom or free templates and enter the message content manually.
- If you want to enter the message content manually, select the type of content you want to send from the Content type drop-down and specify all the required details for this content in the corresponding fields that appear. You can also use variables in such messages by clicking the {} button under the Message box. For more details on different message types and how to use variables, refer to the help articles in the Templates section.
- If you want to use a template, select it from the Select a template (optional) field. In the Message box, you can edit the template contents as you need (add strings of characters, use variables, enter emojis, etc.) to make it more personalized.
If you set the template to have an image or a video in it, in this step you also need to upload the actual image/video that will be sent in the message.
- For SMS: You can both set up to send messages based on custom or free templates and enter the message content manually.
- If you want to enter the message content manually, type it into the Message box. You can also use variables in such messages by clicking the {} button under the Message box. For more details on how to use variables, refer to the help articles in the Templates section.
Note that SMS messages have a limit of symbols, you can see it in the Message box. - If you want to use a template, click Template, then click Use for the one you want to use for this broadcast. In the Message box, you can edit the template contents as you need (add strings of characters, use variables, enter emojis, etc.) to make it more personalized.

- If necessary, for each step of the cascade, in the Test the broadcast field, enter a phone number that the system can use to test the message, and click Send a test message. This will send the message to the specified number, so you can see how it looks in production.
- Click Save to save the draft or Continue to move to the next step.
