Script Actions

This article lists the actions that can be added to the script chain as steps and configured according to the instructions provided.

Assign Tags

  1. Select the Assign tags action.
  2. Click Select tags from the tree.
  3. Select the required number of tags to be automatically assigned to recipients from the available categories.
  4. If there is no matching tag in the list, click New tag and add it.
  5. Click ContinueSave.

Remove Tags

  1. Select the Remove tags action.
  2. Click Select tags from the tree.
  3. Select the required number of tags to be automatically removed from recipients from the available categories.
  4. If there is no matching tag in the list, click New tag and add it.
  5. Click ContinueSave.

Send a Template WhatsApp Message

  1. Select the Send a template WhatsApp message action.
  2. Select a custom WhatsApp message template from the drop-down list to automatically send to your recipients.
The drop-down list will only contain custom WhatsApp templates registered to the WhatsApp account selected in the script settings.
  1. Click Save or Preview the template → Done to preview a template message before saving it.

Send a WhatsApp Message

This action is only available for the script with the Incoming message received initial start condition, as a dialogue box is opened after the incoming message is received, allowing custom messages to be sent.
  1. Select the Send a WhatsApp message action.
  2. Enter the text of the custom message to be automatically sent to the recipients. The maximum length is 1024 characters.
  3. If necessary, click Add buttons and add up to three chat buttons to the message.
  4. Click Save or Preview the message → Done to preview a message before saving it.

Chat with Agent

  1. Select the Chat wit agent action.
  2. Click Save.

In the script, this action will automatically transfer the conversation with the recipient to the available edna Chat Center agent. For context, when the agent receives a chat, it is given the name of the script and the history of the recipient’s interaction with the script.

Wait for Response

  1. Select the Wait for response action.
  2. Specify how long the script should wait for a response from the recipient.
  3. Click Save.
When connecting script blocks in a sequential chain, note that if there is a Send a WhatsApp message after Wait for response action, the maximum wait time can be 23 hours and 59 minutes, as an unconventional WhatsApp message can only be sent within one day of an incoming message.
