Creating Cascades

To create a cascade, you should have at least one connected channel with the Correct status.

To create a cascade, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Cascades and click Add cascade.
  2. Enter the cascade name (for example, WhatsApp → Viber → SMS).
  3. Skip the Сascade ID field. The ID is assigned to the cascade automatically after saving.
  4. In the Cascade rules section, configure the order and rules by which the system will send the broadcast via the selected channels. In the first step, select the first channel to be used in the cascade.

In the first step, messages are sent to the entire audience that will be included in the broadcast. You cannot delete the first step of the cascade, because the cascade should consist of at least one step.
  5. Click Add step and select the next channel for the cascade.
  6. Specify the period after which the cascade should move to the second step if the message wasn’t delivered via the channel from the first step. The maximum value is 23 hours and 59 minutes. See for more information about the message delivery time.
  7. Add the required number of steps. The number of steps is limited by the number of your channels with the Correct status. Thus, if you have two WhatsApp channels and a Viber channel, you can create a cascade of up to three steps.
  8. Check the sequence and conditions of the steps in the Sequence of messages section.
  9. Click Save.

The created cascade is shown in the list on the Cascades page. Here you can edit or delete cascades.

Message Delivery Time

When configuring the cascade, you can specify the time period during which the message should be delivered to the client via the selected channel. If the message is not delivered after the specified time, the cascade moves to the next step and the message is sent via another channel. On all channels except WhatsApp, when moving to the next step of the cascade, attempts to deliver the message via the channel from the previous step will be stopped.

Each channel has a default message delivery time (TTL):

ChannelTime
WhatsAppUp to 30 days (720 hours). If you specify a period of less than 30 days in the cascade settings, and the message is not delivered after this period, then the cascade moves to the next step, but WhatsApp will try to deliver this message for a maximum period of 30 days by default.
ViberFrom 30 seconds to 14 days (336 hours).
VK NotifyFrom 15 seconds to 1 day (24 hours).
OK NotifyFrom 15 seconds to 1 day (24 hours).
PushUp to 1 day (24 hours).
SMSUp to 3 days (72 hours).

The default time is taken into account if the channel is the last step in the cascade, or if the cascade consists of one step with one channel.
